What is pediatric sedation?

Calm, comfortable dental visits without the fear.

Pediatric sedation is the use of safe, monitored medication to help anxious children stay calm during dental treatment. It does not “knock a child out.” Most kids stay fully awake and able to talk to the dentist just relaxed.

We offer multiple different sedation options for children.

Happy Gas (nitrous oxide), 100% safe, yummy smelling nose piece to reduce anxiety so the child still like dentiusts.

Valium or other oral medications. They  add a little more anti-anxiety relaxation to the visit.

IV sedation (sleep dentistry) where all treatment can be safely and comfortably done in 1 appointment in our office under the care of a Board Certified Pediatric Anesthesiologist and hospital trained nurses.

AAPD & AAP Guidelines

We follow established pediatric sedation safety protocols from the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Is sedation dentistry safe for children?
